Shares of a small cap waste management company involved in sweeping of roads, collection and transportation of waste surged up to 19 percent in the day’s trade, upon bagging orders close to its market capitalization from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
With a market cap of Rs 1,393 Cr Antony Waste Handling Cell Ltd saw its stock hit an intraday high of Rs 518 which is 19 percent higher than the previous close of Rs 435.
What’s the News?
On Wednesday Antony Waste Handling Cell Ltd announced that its subsidiary AG Enviro Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd. has won two major Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) collection and transportation contracts (for A,b,C,D and N,S,T wards) from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), this has happened through a joint venture, in which AG Enviro holds 51 percent, with partners Jigar Transport Company with 29 percent and M.K. Enterprises with 20 percent.
The combined contract value is Rs 1,330 crore over 7 years, covering 1,250 metric tonnes per day (MTPD) of waste across key Mumbai wards using new vehicles. The 1250 MT is bifurcated into 650MT for A, B, C & D Wards of the city, while 600MT is for N, S & T Wards.
As of the latest quarter September 25 the company has 17 ongoing contracts with an average duration of 7.7 years for its MSW Collection & transportation, For its MSW waste processing it currently has 5 of them along with a C&D contract that is ongoing, with an average duration of 23 years. Moreover, the company has 4 DBOOT projects & 4 Mechanical Sweeping projects. The company revenue distribution says that 61 percent comes from MSW Collection & Transportation, 27 percent comes from MSW Processing and 12 percent comes from other contracts.

The company also specializes in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of integrated waste management facilities, including its flagship facility in Kanjurmarg, Mumbai.
In the latest quarter the company saw a YoY revenue growth of 16.7 percent, going from Rs 221 Cr in Q2FY25 to Rs 258 Cr in Q2FY26, while the QoQ went up by 4.4 percent from Rs 247 Cr in Q1FY25. The YoY Net Profits growth is at 13 percent, going from Rs 15 Cr in Q2FY25 to Rs 17 Cr in Q2FY26, while the QoQ fell by 26 percent from Rs 23 Cr in Q1FY25.
