Praj Industries Jumps 4% Following Its Launch Of Advanced Precision Fermentation Lab

Synopsis:Praj Industries has inaugurated a first-of-its-kind Advanced Precision Fermentation Lab at its R&D center, Praj Matrix, to accelerate high-performance biomanufacturing. Praj Industries, a leading global industrial biotechnology firm, declared the opening of its Advanced Precision Fermentation Lab at Praj Matrix, Pune. The facility is meant to propel the next-generation biotechnology using AI-enable fermentation process to enhance efficiency and decrease risks related to the process of scaling up the laboratory findings to industrial production.
The start is on the 18 th Foundation Day of Praj Matrix and a strategic step to support the vision of BioE3 (Biotechnology to Economy, Environment and Employment) in India. This international-facility lab will help Praj and its subsidiary, Praj HiPurity Systems to provide high-end solutions to various industries, such as pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, beverages, and biofuels.
IAs a major step to enhance biotech ecosystem, Praj signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BRICāNCCS (Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council -National Centre for Cell Science). This partnership aims to integrate NCCSās expertise in microbial research and genomics with Prajās industrial engineering capabilities. The collaboration will focus on discovering new biomolecules, developing microbial strains, and providing specialized training and internships for PhD scholars to build a future-ready scientific workforce.
On the bourses, Praj Industries Limited reacted positively to the ongoing momentum on April 22, 2026. The stock traded at Rs. 379.95, marking an increase of 4.32% from its previous close. Following the recent recovery trend, the stock saw an intraday high of Rs. 389.80, supported by a trading volume of 40.8 lakh shares. Over the past month, the stock has maintained a bullish trend, delivering approximately 21% absolute returns to its investors.
