The shares of this media stock majorly engaged in television news channels broadcasting and other media operations, jumped upto 6.5 percent after experiencing a bulk trade involving HDFC Mutual Fund.
With the market capitalisation of Rs. 856 Crores, the shares of T V Today Network Ltd jumped upto 6.5 percent from Rs. 142 per share to Rs. 151 per share and is trading at a P/E of 32.7 whereas industry P/E stands at 19.5
Bulk Deal details
Wealth Guardian made a bulk purchase of 3.6 lakh shares at a price of ₹137.99 per share, which amounts to a total of Rs. ~4.96 Crores indicating buying interest at those levels. On the same day, HDFC Mutual Fund executed a bulk sell of around 14.5 lakh shares at about ₹138 per share which amounts to a total of Rs. 20.01 Crores

TV Today Network Ltd is majorly engaged in television news channels broadcasting and other media operations where 99 percent of the revenue is contributed by television and other media operations and remaining is contributed by the radio broadcasting. The company also owns one of the leading news channels Aajtak which has over 70 million subscribers on Youtube platform.
Year on Year analysis: Revenue from operations has decreased from Rs. 206.77 Crores to Rs. 187.55 Crores, down 9 percent. Operating profit has decreased from Rs. 8.99 Crore to Rs. 3.49 Crores, down 61 percent and net profit has turned into an operating loss of Rs. 1.98 Crores from operating profit of Rs. 8.27 Crores.
Quarter on Quarter analysis: Revenue from operations has decreased from Rs. 198.44 Crores to Rs. 187.55 Crores, down 5.4 percent. Operating profit has decreased from Rs. 4.21 Crore to Rs. 3.49 Crores, down 17 percent and net profit has turned into an operating loss of Rs. 1.98 Crores from operating profit of Rs. 7.35 Crores.
